Paranormal Entities

•Ghosts are everywhere—yet nowhere. Cultures all around the world believe in spirits that survive death to dwell in another realm. In fact, ghosts are among the most widely believed of paranormal phenomena: Millions of people are interested in ghosts, and a Poll found that 45% of Americans say that ghosts “definitely or probably exist.”

The idea that the dead remain with us in spirit is ancient, and appears in countless stories from the Bible to Macbeth. It even spawned a folklore genre: ghost stories. Belief in ghosts is part of a larger web of related paranormal beliefs, including near-death experience, life after death, and spirit communication.

Many people have tried to—or claimed to—communicate with spirits over the centuries; in Victorian England, for example, it was fashionable for upper-crust ladies to hold séances in their parlors after tea with friends. So-called “Ghost Clubs” dedicated to searching for ghostly evidence formed at prestigious universities including Cambridge and Oxford, and in 1882 the most prominent such organization, the Society for Psychical Research, was established.

PARANORMAL ENTITIES:

Orbs are one of the most common paranormal entities. Many paranormal enthusiasts believe a sphere is the easiest form a spirit can take to manifest. When you see it with the naked eye, the orb is typically self-illuminated and can be any color. However, the majority of orbs appear in photographs or videos. Some are transparent or appear as though they are spheres of mist or fog.

•An apparition is a physical manifestation of a spirit or ghost, also called an intelligent haunting. These paranormal entities interact and respond intelligently to living people, environmental circumstances, or real-world situations. The apparition may use the energy of electronic devices or batteries to manifest momentarily. Some researchers believe that the entity must use energy sources in order to transform into an apparition.

Poltergeists are also called "noisy ghosts" due to nature of the activity they manifest. Much of this activity is noisy or even appears violent, such as door slamming or objects moving on their own.

•You may be surprised to learn that both living people and ghosts can cause poltergeist activity. For example, sometimes living adolescents cause it. Parapsychologists believe their hormonal fluctuations create powerful emotions that collide with latent psychic abilities. The result is a type of telekinesis called recurrent spontaneous psychokinesis (RSP).

•Demons- Theologians believe demons are entities of pure darkness and evil. Some religions believe that fallen angels devolved into demons because they followed Satan in the rebellion against God and were defeated by Archangel Michael. The rebellious angels were subsequently expelled from Heaven and fell under Satan's jurisdiction.

•A demonic attack can manifest in various ways including all manner of poltergeist activity, such as objects flying across the room. The demon may physically attack the person by shoving, pushing, scratching, punching, or pinning them down. This type of demonic activity is usually rare. Demons may also possess or oppress humans. Some vile and evil ghosts may also masquerade as demons. Any haunting with a malevolent entity should be addressed by a competent and trained demonologist or clergy.

Belief in demons remains an important part of many modern religions and occultist traditions. Demons are still feared largely due to their alleged power to possess living creatures. In the contemporary Western occultist tradition (perhaps epitomized by the work of Aleister Crowley), a demon (such as Choronzon, which is Crowley's interpretation of the so-called "Demon of the Abyss") is a useful metaphor for certain inner psychological processes (inner demons), though some may also regard it as an objectively real phenomenon.

Angels - Abrahamic religions often depict angels as benevolent celestial intermediaries between God (Creator of all) (or Heaven) and humanity. Other roles include protectors and guides for humans, such as guardian angels, and servants of God. Abrahamic religions describe angelic hierarchies, which vary by religion and sect. Some angels have specific names (such as Gabriel or Michael) or titles (such as seraph or archangel). Those expelled from Heaven are called fallen angels, distinct from the heavenly host.

Angels in art are often identified with bird wings, halos, and divine light. They are usually shaped like humans of extraordinary beauty, though this is not always the case—sometimes, they can be portrayed in a frightening, inhuman manner. They can be "deadly shape-shifting realm-crossing divine hitmen with... lethal superpowers."

• Black-eyed Children-One of the most recent--and terrifying--creatures of lore is the black-eyed kid. For the past few decades, some people have reported frightening encounters with children or teens whose eyes are completely black. Appearing otherwise like normal children except for their black eyes, these creatures invoke a deep sensation of terror in all whom they encounter. Often, the children appear in pairs in unexpected places, and they claim to be in distress. They then ask to be let into cars for rides, homes to use the telephone, or similar scenarios. However, the people they are asking are filled with a deep dread, so they don't let the children inside. Nobody knows what happens if someone complies with a black-eyed child's request because there is no one around to tell the tale.

• Elementals and Nature Spirits-They usually live where nature is untouched by humans. This could mean in the deep forests, secluded rivers, volcanic areas, and mountain tops. They could also be among plants, trees, beaches, deserts, or wide and open spaces.

•The thought of elemental spirits originated from the belief that elements are the building blocks of nature. This then progressed into elementals being defined by the gentiles as unknown but powerful forces that affected men and the surroundings.

The Fae- A considerable amount of lore about fairies revolves around changelings, fairies left in the place of stolen humans. In particular, folklore describes how to prevent the fairies from stealing babies and substituting changelings, and abducting older people as well.

• Shadow People- The modernly-used term “shadow people” was coined by paranormal researcher and book author Heidi Hollis, who claims that shadow people have been around since the beginning of time and usually appear as dark human-shaped silhouettes in our peripheral vision.

•Shadow people can appear in different forms and may even indicate that someone is under a psychic attack. Many paranormal experts also theorize that there may be a connection between shadow people and extra-terrestrial life — and that these beings could be other-worldly in origin or have a correlation with alleged alien abduction experiences. •the commonalities of the entities that fall under the category of shadow people.  Some common features of shadow people are:

•A shape that is generally male in appearance

•They are aware of us and react to our observing them

•The typical shadow person is tall, ranging from about 6′ to 7′

•Very often they seem to be wrapped in a cloak or large old fashioned cloak

•Hats are not uncommon

•Their appearance has depth to it, unlike a shadow cast on a wall that is flat

•Quite typically they have no visible eyes, but some will have glowing red eyes

•Shadow people are rarely reported to have spoken or tried to communicate

•Physical objects seem to not matter to them and they can walk through walls

•Can have a demonic shape and demeanor

•Parallell Dimensions and Past Lives- A parallel universe, also known as an alternate universeparallel worldparallel dimension, or alternate reality, is a hypothetical self-contained plane of existence, co-existing with one's own. The sum of all potential parallel universes that constitute reality is often called a "multiverse". While the six terms are generally synonymous and can be used interchangeably in most cases, there is sometimes an additional connotation implied with the term "alternate universe/reality" that implies that the reality is a variant of our own, with some overlap with the similarly named alternate history.

• Past Lives- Known also as “metempsychosis” and “transmigration”, Reincarnation and the concept of past lives has existed for thousands of years, spanning back to the ancient Celtic, Greek, Asian and Indian traditions.  These days, about 51% of the world’s population believe in some form of an afterlife, with about 7% believing that we are ultimately reincarnated.

•One of the most intrinsic beliefs of reincarnation is that most of us have lived many lives before, and sometimes we can actually remember these past lives.  These past lives and past ‘selves’ we tend to identify with as extensions of ourselves and our egos.

Temporal Distortions- Anomalies in the space-time continuum in which witnesses either temporarily find themselves in another time period, or see manifestations of people or places from another time. These are not supernatural entities, as the distortion involves the “living,” albeit under extraordinary circumstances.

Egregore (also spelled egregor; from French égrégore, from Ancient Greek ἐγρήγορος, egrēgoros 'wakeful') is an esoteric concept representing a non-physical entity that arises from the collective thoughts of a distinct group of people.

•In Magickal and other Occult traditions, it is typically seen as having an independent existence, but in other kinds of esotericism, it is merely the collective mind of a religious community, either esoteric or exoteric. In the latter sense, as a collective mind, the term collective entity, preferred by René Guénon, is synonymous with egregore.

•In the apocryphal Book of Enoch, the term had referred to angelic beings known as watchers, and it was also used by associated (Enochian) traditions to refer to the specific rituals and practices associated with these entities. Some other literary and religious works, such as The Manuscript Found in Saragossa, have also made references to these angelic beings.

•Some authors seem to have merged the esoteric concept with the Enochian concept to arrive at an idea of "spiritual entities" that "feed off the thoughts and energy of a unified multitude.“

• While nevertheless having more of a life of their own – their more specific features and powers will depend on the particular author.

• Egregores as "symbols, ideas, or ideals that exist in the collective psyche of a group of people and are thought to have an autonomous existence".

•IN CONCLUSION: I will say that whether you believe in the paranormal or not, chances are you have experienced the paranormal in some form. It could be direct, or something that you label as a coincidence or trick of the mind or eye, or “just a dream.” The point is, everyone has supernatural, spiritual, or paranormal events everyday and at various times in their lives. It is part of the human experience, always has been and always will be.
